Man City vs Chelsea: Tuchel reacts to Lukaku’s performance

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has reacted to their recent game vs Man City in the Premier League.

The Blues lost to the Citizens in a game that ended in a 1-0 scoreline as Kevin De Bruyne’s second-half goal secured three points for EPL toppers.

As of now, Man City are now 13 points clear of Chelsea and are favourite to win the Premier League title this season once again.

Unlike De Bruyne, Romelu Lukaku’s performance vs Man City was nothing to write home about, and Tuchel expressed his dissatisfaction with the Belgium striker’s effort.

“We had eight or nine offensive transitions, but zero touches in the box.

“That was a big problem today, the performance of our front players. A lack of position, timing and composure. We lost too many balls too easily.

“Romelu Lukaku sometimes needs to [deliver] the service. He is included in this, he had many ball losses in very promising circumstances. He had a huge chance.

“Of course we want to serve him, but he is part of the team, and the performance up front, we can do much better,” Tuchel stated in his post-match comments.
