EPL: Why Ronaldo will likely be unavailable vs Crystal Palace
Manchester United will return to action on Sunday when they will face Crystal Palace in the Premier League.
However, ahead of the match, there are claims that Portugal international and Man Utd striker Cristiano Ronaldo is likely to miss the game, which is the first match for the Red Devils new interim coach Ralf Rangnick.
Ronaldo was impressive during Man Utd last match vs Arsenal, where he scored a brace in a game that ended in a 3-2 win for the Red Devils.
However, the Portugal star was substituted towards the latter stages of the clash vs Arsenal.
A report via The Sun has now claimed the 36-year-old is struggling with a knee problem, which could have been caused when he performed his famous jump celebration after scoring his second goal vs Arsenal.
The report claimed that the issue had made the Portuguese a major doubt for Sunday’s clash with Palace.
Recall that Rangnick, upon arriving at Old Trafford, applauded Ronaldo while speaking during Friday’s press conference.
Rangnici hailed the fitness of the former Juventus star, who already has six Premier League goals to his name this season, which is the start of his return to the EPL.
