UCL: Tuchel in doubt of Lukaku starting vs Juventus

After their latest win vs Leicester City in the Premier League over the weekend, Chelsea will return to action on Tuesday night when they face Italian club Juventus in the Uefa Champions League.

Chelsea will host Juventus in the second leg of the tournament, having suffered a 1-0 defeat in the first leg in Italy.

The Blues will hope to defeat the Old Ladies at Stamford Bridge and win all three points.

However, ahead of the match, Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel in a pre-match statement, has raised doubt on Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku availability for the match.

If Lukaku will make the squad, it seems it will be a late decision from Tuchel.

‘I am not sure yet on Romelu,’ he said.

‘We have one more training, yesterday he was in team training and seemed okay. Let’s see about the reaction. He has right now today an appointment with the doctors and the physios to see about the reaction, to see about the next training.”

However, there are possibilities that Timo Werner will feature in the match having made the bench during their weekend vs the Foxes.
