Jorginho could return to Napoli

Chelsea could lose their crucial midfielder and Italy international Jorginho if they don’t take the needed steps by handing him a contract extension as soon as possible.

This comes as Jorginho’s agent Joao Santos has hinted at the possibilities of the Blues midfielder returning to Italian club Napoli.

Jorginho arrived at Stamford Bridge alongside former Chelsea coach Maurizio Sarri who stressed that the Italian midfielder was a key player to promote his Sarri ball at Chelsea.

While Sarri has already left Chelsea, Jorginho, however, remains a key player at Stamford Bridge even under current coach Thomas Tuchel.

The Italian agent has opened up that Chelsea want to offer him a contract extension.

Jorignho’s agent Santos in a recent statement said: “Never say never [on possible Napoli return], because the market is very dynamic. Marina Granovskaia, however, has already let us know that she wants to renew his contract, so we’ll see what happens.”

In another report, Chelsea’s Jorginho is one of the favourites that could win the prestigious Ballon d’Or award this year as he competes against Messi and Lewandowski.
