One of the surprising match outcomes of the weekend was the game between Crystal Palace and Man City, which saw the Seagulls thrashing the Citizens by a 2-0 scoreline.

The aftermath of the match saw one player been fingered out, and that’s Chelsea’s loanee Conor Gallagher who was instrumental in Crystal Palace win over Man City.

Reacting to Gallagher’s performance, former Arsenal star Ian Wright said the Blues loanee was everywhere during the encounter at Etihad, adding that the midfielder did everything for Crystal Palace against Pep Guardiola’s men.

Wilfried Zaha scored the lead goal while a ferocious strike from Gallagher gave Patrick Vieira’s led Crystal Palace side all three points against Man City.

Speaking on Match of the Day about Gallagher’s display, Wright said: “This is brilliant from Conor Gallagher because he’s cutting off Laporte’s left foot, he wants him to go inside, bam! Pep’s saying they gave it away- no, Palace sucked them into that trap.

“Again, you look at Conor Gallagher, he goes into a position where we know that Man City like to play in that area, Bernardo Silva’s there, cuts it out again. And they did that all day, the plan was perfect. He was everywhere, he was doing everything.”
