Former Arsenal coach and France international Arsene Wenger has rated Liverpool striker and Egypt international Mohammed Salah as the best striker in the world.

According to Wenger, Salah scores goals nobody else can score.

There is no doubt that the Egyptian forward has once again been impressive this season with 12 goals already to his name in his opening 11 appearances in all competitions for Liverpool.

His performance from last season also saw the 29-year-old striker make the list of the 30 nominees for this year’s Ballon d’Or award.

Wenger’s statement comes after Salah’s performance vs Atletico Madrid in the Champions League on Tuesday night when he scored twice at the Wanda Metropolitano.

“He’s top, top class and he’s certainly the best striker at the moment in the world because he scores goals that nobody else can score,” Wenger told beIN Sport.

“You have to play street football to dribble past people like that in a short space.”

Wenger added that Salah is full of confidence and creativity.

“Overall, I believe as well that he is very intelligent because the sign of players that always improve is the intelligence,” the former Gunners coach added.
