Liverpool are set for a major shake up in their back line following the arrival of Ibrahima Konate from RB Leipzig this summer.

The reds also have Joe Gomez, Virgil Van Dijk and Joe Matip in center-back and this indicate that some players will have to leave the club in a bid to have more playing time.

Tipped to leave the club is Nathaniel Phillips who was one of the club’s standout performers in the second-half of the 2020/21 campaign.

Phillips played an important role for the reds last season following long-term injuries sustained to Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez.

However, Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen have reportedly shown interest in signing Phillips from Liverpool but they face competition from some Premier League club.

Accordimg to James Pearce, Premier League outfits West Ham, Burnley, Brighton and Newcastle United are all monitoring Phillips situation at Liverpool.

The report claimed Philips want to play regular football and will be willing to move on on from Liverpool where chances are limited.

Though none of the clubs have been able to agree a deal with Liverpool, the reds value Phillips at around £15 million and are prepared to sell if an offer is table that suits all parties.
