Former Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has revealed what reignited his passion for football after signing a deal with the Italian side, AS Roma.

Jose Mourinho was sacked by Tottenham Hotspur just as the season was going to an end, a move that came as a surprise to some fans.

However, it wasn’t too long before Jose Mourinho was back in business. The Portuguese agreed to a three-year contract to take over the Giallorossi at the Stadio Olimpico.

Though the move came as a surprise to some fan, Jose Mourinho has revealed why he accepted another Mission Impossible at Roma.

According to Mourinho, it was the attitude of the new Roma owners, Dan and Ryan Friedkin.

Mourinho, while speaking with GQ Portugal, stated that Roma wanted him.

He stated that it was almost instantly as he left Tottenham in the morning and Roma calling me in the afternoon.

Mourinho insisted that this was something he had already felt throughout his years in Italy was the Italian passion when it comes to football, specifically around Roma, a club that has won no trophies in 20 years.

He added that Roma has a new owner, who has a very humble approach that they recognised as a new chapter in their individual professional lives, a chapter in which they needed help from someone with broad experience.
