Man Utd are reportedly afraid of losing World Cup winner and midfielder, Paul Pogba for free next summer.

The Red Devils are said to believe that the midfielder will run down his current contract and leave for free next season.

Pogba was a key player at Old Trafford last season making 42 appearances in all competitions with six goals and nine assists to his name.

With his contract expected to end next June, Pogba will be free to commence talks with other football clubs of his choice.

According to ESPN, Man United are set to seek talks with the France international, as they are concerned that he will run down his deal at Old Trafford before leaving on a free.

The report claimed that there is no confirmed interest from any major club in European football, but Real Madrid, Barcelona, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain are keeping a close eye on developments in the event that he becomes available to sign on a pre-contract basis.

With Man Utd not wanting to lose him for free, their only option is to ensure he signs an extension before next June.
