There are indications that former Chelsea boss, Maurizio Sarri could make a return to the Premier League in the summer transfer window.

The reports have linked Sarri with moves to take a job offer at one of Tottenham Hotspur or Arsenal.

Recall that Tottenham Hotspur sacked Jose Mourinho as their coach this season and are presently without a coach.

While Mourinho has moved on to sign a deal with Italian Seria A club, AS Roma, Tottenham are hoping to bring in Sarri as a replacement.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Carlo Laudisa, he revealed that Tottenham are very much in the running for the Italian, but Arsenal could also compete, should they relieve Mikel Arteta of his managerial duties following a disappointing 2020-21 campaign.

”Sarri could go to England,” Laudisa told Radio Punto Nuovo. “The Tottenham solution being the most plausible, but the Arsenal bench could also become free, as Arteta has missed all the Gunners’ season goals.”

Sarri has been without a coaching job since being sacked by Juventus last August. He also managed Chelsea during the 2018-19 campaign, leading the Blues to the Europa League title and EFL Cup final.

In the case of Arsenal, it very unlikely that Arteta would be sacked.
