Former Arsenal player, Jack Wilshere, in a recent statement has revealed the Gunners player he feels sorry for.

Wilshere in his statement admitted he ‘felt sorry’ for captain, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, after they were eliminated from the UEFA Europa League on Thursday night

Recall that Arsenal were dumped out in the race to make it to the UEL final by their former coach, Unai Emery and his Villarreal squad.

Although the game at Emirate ended in a goalless draw, it was not enough to save Arsenal as they had already been defeated in the first leg in Spain.

”I felt a bit sorry for Aubameyang last night because he did not have much service,” Wilshere told talkSPORT.

He noted that Aubameyang was the most dangerous during the match and he’s sure how could be frustrated.

”“Mikel is the manager and he is the one who is got to make the decisions. I would have put Lacazette on and kept Aubameyang on,” Wilshere said.

He stressed that the match was tough to watch as the Gunners just needed that one moment in the game, someone to take the game but unfortunately it did not come.

”It is disappointing for the fans, I am an Arsenal fan now, it will be hard to not see them in Europe next year,” Wilshere added.
