What can stop Man City from being declared EPL winner on Sunday
The English Premier League for this season is drawing to an end with few games left to be played by all sides, however, if this weekend game goes as expected, the winner for this season could be declared.
Man City are the top runner and favourite to win and should this weekend game go their way, they would be declared champions.
The only snag for the Citizens would be their arch-rivals, Man Utd who could cause a delay in the announcement this weekend.
The best outcomes that would make this season over this weekend is if Man City beat Crystal Palace on Saturday and Liverpool win at Old Trafford, then City will be confirmed champions with four fixtures to spare.
However, with the way the Red Devils have been playing in their last few matches, there is no guarantee that Man City will be declared the winner this weekend.
Speaking in a post-match statement, Man City coach, Pep Guardiola said, “United are an extraordinary team. They have arrived in their best form of the season in the last two months.
“We need five points to be champions. Tomorrow (Saturday) we have an incredible opportunity to make this next step.”
We will have to wait to see how it all goes this weekend.
