Manchester United to battle Chelsea for Torino forward

Manchester United could purportedly turn their attention toward Torino striker Andrea Belotti as they search for another centre forward.

The Premier League giants are heavily connected with huge money moves for Erling Braut Haaland and Harry Kane this summer, albeit both number nines would not be required to leave Borussia Dortmund or Tottenham Hotspur for under £100m.

With clubs across the world still reeling from the financial effect of the Covid pandemic, Chelsea – also accepted to be in the race for Haaland – have evidently reserved Belotti as a less expensive other option.

Presently, Tuttosport guarantee that Manchester United are ready to battle Chelsea for Belotti’s signature, and Torino are set to acknowledge a fee around the £21m mark in spite of his £86.5m release clause.

The Italy international present deal with Torino terminates in 2022, so the club would be required to allow him to leave this summer as opposed to leave free of charge in a years’ time, and the report adds that fellow Serie A clubs Roma, Napoli and Fiorentina are all watching out for the circumstance.

Belotti has scored 12 goals and set up six more for Torino in the 2020-21 Serie A campaign.
