Man Utd have been in contact with Austrian defender’s agent

Ahead of the summer transfer window, Man Utd seems to be working underground to secure the signing of a new defender in the person of David Alaba.

According to the reports, the Red Devils are in talks with the agent of the Austrian international.

Alana who currently plays for Bayern Munich will be a free agent in the summer as he has failed to reach an agreement with the German side over the extension of his contract.

Man clubs like Real Madrid, Chelsea, Man City and a host of others have shown readiness to sign him.

However, the report shows Real Madrid are the favourite to sign him as they hope to bring him in as a replacement for veteran defender, Sergio Ramos.

Another club who want to bring him in Chelsea who hope to make him replace Thiago Silva at the back.

There have been speculations in the past that United were out of the running for the Austrian, but the Red Devils have allegedly also been in touch with Alaba’s agent Pini Zahavi to discuss a possible switch to Old Trafford.

Red Devils manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is believed to have made it known to the club management that he wants to sign a left-footed centre-back ahead of next season and Alaba will make a good option.
