Deadline transfer deal: These two players leave Arsenal on loan
The winter transfer deadline has seen Arsenal let go of two of their players this season.
This comes as reports revealed that the duo of Joe Willock and Ainsley Maitland-Niles have both been allowed to leave Arsenal on Transfer Deadline Day.
According to the reports, Willock will be joining Newcastle, where he will spend the remaining of the season on loan.
The Gunners are most likely letting him leave Emirate stadium so that he can get more game time and improves in his playing career.
Going by records, the 21-year-old has made 16 appearances across all competitions this season, with seven appearances in the Premier League to his name.
While Emile Smith Rowe’s emergence limited Willock’s game time, the arrival of Martin Odegaard from Real Madrid in January also mean there will be further decrease in chances for him.
On the other hand, Maitland-Niles has also been allowed to join Premier League side, West Brom, on loan as well and he would remain with them until June 2021.
He has barely featured for Arsenal this season, he would however, now help the Baggies fight relegation.
Mikel Arteta will hope to secure a spot in the top four at the end of the season.
