Arsenal approach Real Madrid for this creative midfielder

With less than 3 weeks to the end of the January transfer window, Arsenal are hoping to bring a new player to the club.

The Gunners are hoping to sign a new creative midfielder to increase their chances of making it to the top clubs at least this season.

According to the Sky Sports, the Gunners have approached Spanish side, Real Madrid for Martin Odegaard.

The reports revealed that Odegaard is eager to leave the Santiago Bernabeu for another club as he hopes to get regular first-team football elsewhere.

Odegaard has made only 12 appearances for Madrid this season without scoring a goal.

He was however impressive while on loan at Real Sociedad last season, scoring seven goals and nine assists across 36 appearances.

Mikel Arteta hopes to secure a deal for him before the January transfer window closes.

The reports revealed that the La Liga giants are currently considering the North London’s proposal but Arsenal will have to be wary of strong competition for Odegaard, including at least one from another Prem, however,ue club.

Arsenal have started regaining their form and the addition of a new creative midfielder is what they need if they are to be considered a serious contender in the premier league this season.
