Man Utd no longer interested in PSG star

Manchester United have turned their focus away from Paris Saint-Germain’s Manuel Ugarte this summer transfer window.

A report via The Athletic revealed the Red Devils who are keen on signing a new midfielder are no longer interested in Ugarte.

Man Utd led by manager Erik ten Hag will now turn their attention to other targets on their list.

There are speculations that Man Utd dropped their interest in Ugarte because they do not intend to meet PSG’s asking price for the Uruguay international.

The French Ligue 1 giants are demanding around the £51.4m (€60m) fee they paid to sign Ugarte from Sporting Lisbon last summer.

PSG and Man Utd are said to be quite far apart in their respective valuations of the 23-year-old.

Man Utd will only return to the table if PSG reduce their request which so far is unlikely to happen as no progress has been made.

This has prompted the Premier League side to pursue other options they can sign before the summer transfer window deadline.

The Red Devils remain keen in their race to bolster their squad ahead of the new season as they intend to compete for trophies after managing to end last season with a FA Cup.
