Why Palmer should remain at Chelsea – Owen
Former Manchester United star, Michael Owen has sent a message to Chelsea winger and England international Cole Palmer about leaving the club this summer.
Owen in advice to Palmer urged him to ‘stay put’ at Stamford Bridge this summer transfer window.
Palmer, who joined the Blues from Premier League champions Manchester City last summer enjoyed a sensational first season at Chelsea.
The England star scored 22 goals and created 11 assists in 33 Premier League games for the Blues last season.
When asked if he sees the winger remaining at Chelsea for the foreseeable future, Owen believes the 22-year-old should stay put at Stamford Bridge for the time being.
According to Owen via AceOdds, people including footballers tend to always want to better themselves in life.
Owen pointed out that Palmer moved to Chelsea because he wasn’t getting game time at Man City.
He stressed that if Palmer had the opportunity to go to a club that was going to give him more of a chance of winning the league or Champions League, then that’s when it becomes interesting.
Owen who thinks it is best for Palmer to stay put at Chelsea for now, said that if Man City came back for him and wanted to spend £100m, it would make a difference.
