Former Chelsea and France international N’Golo Kante could soon find himself back in the English Premier League.

This comes as recent reports claimed West Ham are interested in signing the former Chelsea midfielder from Saudi side Al-Ittihad this summer transfer window.

The reports claims talks between the two parties are ongoing and both sides are eager to get a deal across the line.

While Kante is reported to be happy in Saudi Arabia and having a good time at Al-Ittihad, the French is said to interested in returning to the Premier League.

The Hammers are in the race for a new defensive midfielder after dropped interest in signing Kalvin Phillips on a permanent basis following his disappointing loan spell at the club.

A report via The Guardians disclosed the Hammers will need to pay around £20million to sign Kante ahead of the 2024-2025 season.

Recall that the Frenchman moved to Al-Ittihad from Chelsea last summer transfer window on a two-year-deal worth £172m.

He exited Stamford Bridge after his contract with Blues expired.
