Arteta hails former Blues star after 5-0 win against Chelsea

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta in his post-match statement after their grand victory against Chelsea was full of praises for his players including Kai Havertz.

Havertz, who joined the Gunners from Chelsea and underwent a tough time during his early stage at Emirates Stadium was impressive against his former club.

The Germany international scored two goals from the Gunners 5-0 win against Chelsea on Tuesday night.

Speaking on Havertz’s form, Arteta described the player as unbelievable, adding that his contribution to the goals was great.

Arteta said:

“He was unbelievable in all departments and obviously when you have a nine score two goals the way he scored, his contribution was great and a question about scoring against Chelsea for him, but I’m sure he’s very pleased.”

Arteta also believe their recent win against Chelsea is a big boost for them especially as they will be facing another tough opponent, Tottenham Hotspur next.

The Gunners manager said:

“Great for us obviously, for the confidence, for the belief that we can do it and we can come to these stages against big teams and we can perform and win games the way we have done tonight, so enjoy it and it’s back to work tomorrow because we have a big one Sunday and we’re going to have to prepare really well to try to beat them.”
