Arsenal
Arsenal reportedly targeting this player in the Turkish League
Arsenal happens to be one of the big clubs in England with a limited budget when it comes to transfers.
As the January transfer market draws closer, the Gunners led by Mikel Arteta have drawn a list of players they could make a move for within their budget.
A report has linked Arsenal with moves to sign Berkay Ozcan from Basaksehir following his performance in the Uefa Champions League for the Turkish side.
Ozcan’s performance since moving to Basaksehir from Hamburger SV has improved greatly.
Sources with knowledge of the situation, however, claimed his performance has made Premier League clubs, among them Arsenal, showed interest in him.
Ozil believes he would get good deals when his contract ends at Arsenal
The 22-year-old midfielder has made 15 appearances this season, five of which was made in the Uefa Champions League, noticeable of them was the 2-1 victory over Manchester United.
Arsenal were said to have been monitoring Ozcan since 2017 and the January transfer window could be the best time for them to sign him.
Going by Arsenal’s lack of fund, going after a player like Ozcan wouldn’t cost them a fortune, however, the North London club will have to consider if he would be able to blend into their style of play and the EPL which is quite demanding.
Arsenal are in need of a new midfielder and Arteta is working tireless to sign one in January.
