He is lazy: Rooney singles out this Man Utd star

Former Manchester United star Wayne Rooney and hit out at Brazil star and the Red Devils player Casemiro as he tagged him lazy.

Rooney made this statement while reacting Leandro Trossard’s goal in Arsenal’s 1-0 win over Manchester United on Sunday evening.

Speaking at Sky Sports studio, Rooney said the game obviously showed that Casemiro is a midfield player and not a natural centre-back.

Speaking about Arsenal’s lone goal at Old Trafford, Rooney said there was no way for the Red Devils goalkeeper Andre Onana to get the ball to Casemiro.

But then Casemiro has to push out which is lazy.

Reacting to the Brazilian role in the defence, Rooney said Casemiro was not aware of any players around him which gave Trossard the opportunity to come in and gets an easy goal.

Man Utd’s defeat against Arsenal have seen them remain at the 8th spot on the league table, with their chances of playing in European tournaments next season getting slimmer.

Meanwhile, Man Utd can still end the season with a trophy if they are able to defeat their neighbours Man City led by manager Pep Guardiola in the FA Cup final scheduled to take place later this month.
