Liverpool lead the race to sign Napoli defender
Liverpool are supposedly leading the race to sign Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly.
The defender has been firmly connected with a move away from Napoli and will purportedly be permitted to leave this summer if his £90.5m asking is paid.
Manchester United and Manchester City have both been connected with the Senegal defender, however as per report, Liverpool lead the race for the defender.
The report asserts that the European Champions, missed out on Timo Werner’s deal, are ‘most importantly’ the leading the race for his signature.
Napoli’s generous asking price for the Senegalese could at last cost Jurgen Klopp’s side out of a move because of the financial effect of the coronavirus pandemic.
Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly currently has three years left to run on his contract at Stadio San Paolo.
Chelsea have also been connected with the Senegalese but couldn’t sign him due to transfer ban that was imposed for two transfer windows.
