World Cup: Chelsea star rated most skilful in England squad

Newcastle United star Nick Pope has picked Chelsea’s Raheem Sterling as the most skilful player in the current England squad.

Speaking to talkSPORT, the Newcastle United and Three Lions goalkeeper credited Sterling for possessing the fanciest footwork.

According to WhoScored.com, Sterling has completed the joint-second most successful dribbles (11) in the Premier League from Graham Potter’s side.

“Um, I’d go Raheem Sterling,” replied Pope when asked to name the most skilful Three Lions member.

Sterling has managed 11 successful dribbles and has 30 unsuccessful attempts in the league this term.

On Chelsea’s record on failed attempts, Ruben Loftus-Cheek is next down with 18 failed tries.

Irrespective of this, Sterling has not been all that impressive since he joined Chelsea from Man City in the summer transfer window.

As of now, Chelsea are seated at the right spot on the league table and would have to struggle hard to finish in the top four this season.
