The EPL is extremely exhausting – Chelsea coach admits
Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has finally admitted that the English Premier League is extremely exhausting.
Tuchel made this statement during his pre-match conference on Friday ahead of Chelsea’s clash with Newcastle Utd at the St. James Park on Saturday.
The Germany international revealed that Chelsea are faced with different competitions.
Chelsea were in action during the midweek games in the Carabao League on Tuesday. They are also contenders in the Uefa Champions League as well as the EPL.
Tuchel, in his statement, said, “It will simply take all of us. It’s like running a marathon. This league is extremely exhausting. We have different competitions. We are up for all competitions and the best outcome in all competitions. We are trying to close the gap.”
The German manager moved to Stamford Bridge last season as a replacement for Frank Lampard.
Chelsea is the first EPL side Tuchel will coach in his career as he has was a coach at Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund in 2015, where he won the DFB-Pokal before he was sacked in 2017.
Tuchel was made the manager at French club Paris Saint-Germain in 2018, where he won two league titles, including a domestic quadruple in his second season; he guided the french club to its first UEFA Champions League final before he was sacked in 2020.
