Not a top player: Chelsea told to sell defender

Former Aston Villa star Gabriel Agbonlahor has sent a message to Chelsea about their defender Kalidou Koulibaly.

According to Agbonlahor, Koulibaly is not a top player and should be sold this summer.

Recall that the Blues signed Koulibaly from Italian side Napoli but he seems not to be the same player he was before as he has struggled to impress in the EPL.

Chelsea signed the defender following Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger’s departure to Spanish sides Barcelona and Real Madrid respectively.

“The Koulibaly they thought they were getting is not the same player they’ve brought in. He’s not the same player he was at Napoli,” he told Football Insider.

“He’s not as quick as I thought he would be. He just looks very old and in pain when he’s playing – he doesn’t look like a top defender at all. It would suit both club and player for Koulibaly to be moved on this summer.”
