Maresca speaks on Sanchez after mistake against Man City

Chelsea manager, Enzo Maresca, has reacted to the his side’s defeat to Manchester City at Etihad Stadium on Saturday.
Maresca threw his weight behind error-prone goalkeeper Robert Sánchez, adding that he would continue to trust him.
The manager, however, warned that he wants to see a positive reaction from the goalie after his latest mistake in the 3-1 defeat to Manchester City.
Noni Madueke scored the lead goal at the Etihad, before Josko Gvardiol found an equaliser for the Citizens.
At the 68th minute, Sanchez gave Erling Haaland a chance to score a second goal, pity Man City in the lead.
The 27-year-old raced off his line, but Haaland cleared of Trevoh Chalobah, lifting the ball into an empty net.
Phil Foden then score a late goal as the champions moved above Chelsea into fourth spot.
“For sure, we continue to trust Robert. We trust Robert but now we have one entire week [until the next game], we see the reaction and then we decide for the next game,” Maresca said.
This is the second time Sanchez will be making a costly mistake within a week, after he failed to claim a cross against Wolves on Monday.
