Liverpool players were shocked by this Chelsea midfielder’s performance

Former Liverpool star Jammie Carragher in a statement said the club players were shocked at Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante’s performance during their 0-0 draw on Tuesday.

Recall that the Frenchman recently return to the team following a long-term injury.

While the Blues’ first game following Graham Potter’s sack ended in a goalless draw, Kante was, however, impressive.

He also played an active role during last weekend’s game vs Aston Villa.

“It was almost as if some of the Liverpool players forgot who N’Golo Kante was and how good he is,” Carragher told Sky Sports.

“He’s been out for so long that some of the Liverpool players seemed to forget what N’Golo Kante is all about.”

Kante is expected to make the team when the Blues face the Wolves this weekend.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are unlikely to finish in the top six this season and may not play European football next season except the manage to lift the UCL trophy this season.
