Giroud reveals three teammates he loves recieving crosses from
Chelsea talisman, Olivier Giroud has gone from not getting enough playing chances at the start of the season to become a key player in the Blues squad under coach Frank Lampard.
This comes after Giroud’s impressive performance vs. Spanish side Sevilla in the Champions League which saw him score 4 goals for the Blues.
He also made an impressive performance against Leeds United in the Premier League.
Before his impressive performances, the French international had been dropped off the first team with Lampard preferring to start Timo Werner and Tammy Abraham instead but all of that have changed.
Giroud in a recent statement with Chelsea official website revealed three players he loves recieving crosses from and they include; Hakim Ziyech, Reece James and Ben Chilwell.
On Ziyech, Giroud said the summer signing is more likely to come inside and cross with an inswinger.
“They are very dangerous for defenders, and for strikers you have to be good with your timing so you’re not offside.”
“You need to start from a deeper position nearer the far post to attack the ball from there and be in between the defenders,” Giroud added.
On James and Chilwell, Giroud revealed that the two players (Reece especially) love to cross with his first intention.
Giroud said Reece doesn’t need to go to the byline to cross the ball.
The French forward however revealed that himself and his teammates have built a good understanding and always work on it during training.
Giroud is expected to start for Chelsea when they face Everton on Saturday.
