Chelsea join Liverpool in the race for Lavia

The recent report has revealed that Chelsea are set to join Liverpool in the race for their transfer target, Romeo Lavia this summer transfer window.
Ben Jacobs in a statement revealed the Blues are ready to submit a bid for Lavia, who currently plays for Southampton.
The Belgian midfielder has been linked with Liverpool, who have seen two of their bids rejected this summer.
Liverpool submitted a bid of £38million and later upped it to £45million, but both fell short of Southampton’s £50 million demand for the player.
However, Chelsea on the other hand are keen on signing a new midfielder to their squad having lost the likes of Mateo Kovacic to Manchester City, N’Golo Kante to Saudi’s Al-Ittihad, Mason Mount to Manchester United and Ruben Loftus-Cheek to Serie A side AC Milan.
The Blues have been linked with moves to sign Moises Caicedo from Brighton but it seems they may have to focus on Lavia who would come at a cheaper price.
