Arteta speaks on No. 1 goalie between Raya and Ramsdale

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has spoken about the club’s number one goalkeeper between David Raya and Aaron Ramsdale.
Recall that the Gunners signed Raya from Brentford on a season-long loan this summer to create healthy competition for Ramsdale, who has been their No.1 goalkeeper over the last year.
Following the departure of Matt Turner to Nottingham Forest on a permanent deal, the available have to slug it out.
When asked if he has a No.1 in mind, the North London manager replied: “In any position? No. 9, 7, 11, 6, goalkeeper – no. Better qualities for our game model, very simple.
“We want two players per position. You saw what happened to Jurrien [Timber], it can happen to our goalkeeper, it happened to [Thibaut] Courtois – you have to be prepared.”
Raya’s likely to get a permanent deal at Arsenal next summer if he put up an impressive form for them this season.
