2 players Chelsea could sign after losing race to sign Kounde
Chelsea have come to terms with reality after they lost out to the Spanish side Barcelona in the race to sign Jules Kounde from Sevilla this summer.
Kounde, who had reached an agreement with the Blues went on to stall his transfer to Stamford Bridge in a bid to give the Catalans more time to submit a bid for him.
He has now reached an agreement with the Spanish giants and Chelsea have no choice but to focus on signing other targets.
The latest report has linked the Blues with a move for two defenders, with the hope of signing one of them this summer.
Chelsea have been hampered in their pursuit of Kounde, who is now set to join Barcelona.
According to 90Min, Bayern Munich stars, Dayot Upamecano and Benjamin Pavard have been included in Chelsea’s list of defenders to sign this summer.
Pavard could move to the EPL as his agent touted him to other clubs earlier this month.
In another report, Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel has told the club hierarchy about the need to sign another defender following the arrival of Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli this summer
