Manchester United star to face timeout on the sideline after undergoing surgery

Manchester United will be missing their star midfielder, Scott McTominay, for the next few games as he faces a spell on the sideline after surgery on a groin issue.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team have begin the new campaign in a good form winning their first game and settling for a draw against Southampton.

Scott McTominay was in the starting lineup for the first match but could only manage a cameo in the second match against Southampton.

With United set to face Wolverhampton Wanderers in their next match, United on their official website announced that the midfielder will having some time off the pitch.

The Premier League club via the post stated that having tried all other treatment options in pre-season, surgery was deemed necessary to resolve the issue.

Now, though, it has been confirmed McTominay has had a groin problem operated on, but no timescale has been given for his return.

Scott McTominay has also been left out of Scotland’s squad for their upcoming internationals.

The Scotland international has also shared pictures of himself recovering from the hospital and fans will be expecting him back on the pitch.
