Man Utd ready to let Pogba leave for free next summer
The recent report from Old Trafford has claimed that Manchester United are ready to let France international Paul Pogba leave the club for free next summer transfer window.
A report via ESPN claimed the Red Devils hierarchy have privately accepted the midfielder will not extend his contract at Old Trafford.
The French midfielder was signed at a world record of £89.1 million in August 2016 after returning to Man Utd from Juventus.
With his current contract set to expire at the end of June 2022, Pogba will be a free agent; this means his agent Mino Raiola, can start discussions with potential clubs from January.
Pogba has been linked with moves to Juventus, Real Madrid and Paris Saint Germain PSG in the past; it is, however, uncertain if any of the clubs would want to sign him in the January transfer window as they would prefer to wait till the end of the season.
The reports also revealed that Man Utd prefers to keep Pogba at Old Trafford till the end of the season instead of selling him in January as they believe the benefit of keeping the French midfielder till the end of the season outweighs any financial gain they could make in January.
