Reports: Liverpool set to hold talks with €20million rated midfielder representative
Liverpool are yet to replace Georginio Wijnaldum who left the club this summer as a free agent to sign for Paris Saint-Germain in the French Ligue 1.
Though Liverpool have started the new season with a win, the reds are still eyeing a midfielder as replacement for Wijnaldum and talks are reportedly going on with Barcelona’s Ilaix Moriba.
Moriba broke out of Barcelona’s reserve team last season but things have changed this season with the arrival of new players meaning he will spend more time on the bench.
The 21 years old youngster has been banished to the Barcelona reserves and the Catalonia club have also offered him to a host of clubs.
Liverpool are one of the clubs interested and according to 90Min, the Reds have been in talks with Ilaix Moriba and his representatives after being offered the midfielder’s services.
The report suggests that Liverpool have already held talks with Moriba’s agents while West Ham, Leicester, Wolves and Everton have also been offered his services.
Liverpool might have the edge over the other clubs due to their presence in the UEFA Champions League but it’s still unclear if Moriba will be joining on a permanent deal or a loan move.
