Jurgen Klopp shares update on the possible return of experience defender
Liverpool’s injury crisis in the back continued the last time they played Tottenham Hotspur as Joel Matip had an ankle injury that have given fans of the club another headache.
Having lost first choice center backs Virgil Van Dijk and Joe Gomez to injury early in the season, Liverpool have been struggling to keep their players fit at the back as Fabinho joined and Joel Matip in the list some days ago.
Fabinho and Matip have stepped in well for the injured Van Dijk and Gomez but the reds manager have been forced to look into the transfer market for another defender.
With all eyes set on the return of the defenders, Klopp has shared an update on the injury of Matip and how soon he will be back on the football pitch.
Jurgen Klopp while speaking to the media stated that the team are yet to get the full picture concerning Matip’s injury as they have to wait till they have the final diagnosis.
According to the German tactician, specialists must have a look at stuff like this until they know exactly what’s wrong with Matip.
And speaking on transfer, he noted that there’s nothing to say about it until something is done, if something is done, it won’t be secret.
Liverpool continued their good form on Sunday evening as they defeated David Moyes’ West Ham United team three goals to one.
