Deal Close: Liverpool in advance talk with star player over contract extension this summer

Premier League side Liverpool are reportedly in an advance talk with Allison Becker over a contract extension that will keep him at the club.

Liverpool are not ready to take chances on their star players as they are willing to tie them down on an extended deal.

Allison, who joined the Reds from Roma in July 2018, is now set to commit his future with Liverpool despite having three years left to run on his current deal with Jurgen Klopp’s side.

According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Allison is in advanced discussions over a new deal, although it could take weeks or months before an official announcement is made.

Speaking on his Here We Go podcast, Romano stated that Alisson is getting closer to signing a new contract with Liverpool.

He noted that It would take some weeks, maybe months, because, of course, with the timing for these kinds of things, but Alisson is getting close to signing a contract with Liverpool.

The Brazil international has made 130 appearances for the Reds since arriving from Roma. He conceded 41 times in 42 appearances for Liverpool last season but scored a crucial goal for the reds against West Bromwich Albion.
