Why Pulisic can’t be trusted – Former MLS player warns
Former USMNT and MLS player, Brian Dunseth, has issued a warning about the Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Dunseth directing his statement to the US said Pulisic can’t be trusted.
The US failed to find the target in either of their international friendlies this month as they played 0-0 against Saudi Arabia and lost 2-0 to Japan.
Pulisic, who is nicknamed ‘Captain America’ is hoping he can rally the US in Qatar, but Dunseth claimed the Chelsea winger has been overhyped.
“You can’t trust Pulisic,” Dunseth said on his weekly podcast.
“As much as you want to believe in Pulisic, as much as he has been hyped to be the everything that everybody thinks he can be or wants him to be, the reality is he is not.
“He is a really good player, but he’s a complimentary piece. He is not a focal point, and that’s what people have to understand.”
Pulisic has not scored a goal since a hat-trick against Panama in a 5-1 CONCACAF World Cup qualification game in March
