Why Newcastle United defeated Chelsea revealed

Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe has opened up on why his side defeated Chelsea in a 1-0 win in the EPL.

Howe his side win Chelsea at St. James’ Park on Saturday evening as they pick all three points against the Blues.

Joe Willock scored the lone goal for the Magpies in a second-half strike.

According to Howe during his post-match press conference after the game, Newcastle defeated Chelsea because his players performed at a very high level against Graham Potter’s side at home.

He stressed that Newcastle gave Chelsea big problems during the encounter.

Howe said, “It was a great win for us. The performance level was very high.

“With the ball, I think we were really high-level ourselves. We gave them big problems.

“It was a great goal from Joe. I’m already pleased with him. Overall, it was a high-level performance from more of the players.”

Newcastle United are now seated at the third spot on the EPL table while Chelsea are at the 8th spot.
