Werner in surprise move to another EPL club

Lately, there have been growing rumours linking Chelsea striker and Germany international Timo Werner with moves away from the club this summer.

Werner has been linked to former club RB Leipzig as well as Italian side Juventus this summer.

However, a new report has now linked the German striker with moves to Newcastle United.

According to Bild, Newcastle are willing to take Werner off Chelsea’s hands this summer.

Werner has struggled for game time at Stamford Bridge of late, but Newcastle are seemingly ready to hand him a Premier League lifeline.

The Magpies will have to battle RB Leipzig and Juventus, who are also keen on signing the Blues forward.

Recall that Werner moved to Chelsea for £47million in the summer of 2020 but has failed to impress since joining them.

In another report, Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel, is determined to overhaul his attack this summer, but it may not be possible except his side sell Werner and the likes of Hakim Ziyech.
