Veteran Chelsea defender showers accolades on rivals attacker

Chelsea defender Thiago Silva has nothing but words of praise for Liverpool attacker Roberto Firmino whom he labels as one of the best strikers he has faced so far in his career.

Thiago Silva has become one of the Premier League finest defender ever since he made the move to Stamford Bridge from Paris Saint-Germain.

The veteran defender who have faced top forwards in the illustrious career that have seen him feature for the likes of AC Milan, Paris Saint-Germain, Porto have now ranked Firmino highly.

Speaking with the club official tv, Silva was asked about the top strikers he has faced so far in his career and he stated that
Firmino because he has incredible technical quality.

Silva pinpointed that the Brazilian forward is very intelligent in his movements and on the pitch that leaves defenders a bit lost.

Thiago Silva has been impressive for Chelsea this season despite that sustaining some injuries and he will be eager to continue the good form.

In another report, the Blues are already on the lookout for a replacement for the veteran as they hope to bring in a new defender when the summer transfer window commences.
