The former Borussia Dortmund manager has now insisted that his boyhood love for Tottenham Hotspur was just back-garden bragging and showing off to friends

Speaking to the press ahead of the match against Jose Mourinho team, Tuchel stated that they are one of the biggest clubs in England and in Europe.

He noted that it’s a big challenge but fans shouldn’t get confused as when he was a boy once or twice it was always him pretending to be Tottenham in the garden.

According to the 47 years old tactician, it was to show off more in front of his friends because actually he didn’t even know Tottenham were a team in London.

Tuchel noted that it was just a fancy name and a team we could see on TV for a few minutes before things changed when Jurgen Klinsmann and some German players there that led to a bigger focus.
