These two players will miss Chelsea clash vs Norway City and Southampton
Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel has confirmed that his two strikers Germany International Timo Werner and Belgium star Romelu Lukaku will be unavailable when they face Norwich City on Saturday at Stamford Bridge.
This comes as Werner and Lukaku sustained injuries in the first half of Chelsea midweek game vs Malmo In the Champions League.
Tuchel gave the latest update on Friday during his pre-match press conference as Chelsea head to the weekend game at the back of their recent 4-0 win over Malmo on Wednesday.
He revealed that aside from missing the match against Norway City, Werner and Lukaku will also be unavailable against Southampton.
“There is no big news for Romelu and Timo,” Tuchel said.
“They are out for tomorrow an,d they are out for the Southampton game, and from there, we see what’s next.
The Blues coach noted that the two strikers are currently receiving treatment and are feeling positive and not too worried.
With Werner and Lukaku out, Tuchel may bring in Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Kai Havetz to play at the front, in the same manner he played against Malmo after his two strikers suffered injuries during the match.
