The Blues to sign Brazil star for Pochettino

Chelsea have been linked with moves to sign Flamengo’s Matheus Franca for their new permanent manager Mauricio Pochettino.

With Pochettino on a mission to rebuild Chses squad after they struggled to impress last season that saw them finish at the 12th spot on the League table, the Mail reported that Chelsea are considering the option of signing the Brazilian star in a deal that is worth £25 million.

The report revealed Newcastle United were also once interested in signing the 19-year-old midfielder

Aside from the Magpies, West Ham United and Crystal Palace are also said to be monitoring Franca’s situation.

Flamengo have been aware of interest in their star player since the January transfer window but stood their ground that he was not for sale.

However, their decision could change with the right offer this summer window.

Franca began his football career in the Flamengo academy before making it to their first-team squad in 2021.
