Terry singles out former Chelsea player as AS Roma win UECL
Former Chelsea football star, John Terry has joined many other football lovers to react to AS Roma’s latest victory at the just concluded UEFA Europa Conference League (UECL) final on Wednesday night.
Terry, in a statement, congratulated the Italian side as well as former Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho for winning the UECL ahead of Feyenoord.
The Blues legend also singled out former Chelsea star Tammy Abraham and former Man Utd star Chris Smalling for special praise, insisting that they were impressive for Roma against Feyenoord.
The Italian side defeated Feyenoord 1-0 in the UEFA Conference League final last night, with Nicolo Zaniolo scoring the lone goal for the Serie A side in the first half of the encounter in Albania to ensure they win the trophy.
Reacting, Terry wrote on Twitter after the game, “Congratulations @ASRomaEN @tammyabraham & The Gaffer. Some good players on show tonight. @ChrisSmalling was immense.”
The Uefa Conference League title is AS Roma’s first-ever European cup, which is worth celebrating.
