Premier League top guns set to compete for the signature of highly rated youngster
Chelsea and Manchester United are reportedly willing to battle it out for the signature of £28 million rated FC Metz midfielder, Pape Matar Sarr.
The two Premier League clubs have been spending big in the current transfer window with United bringing Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane.
Chelsea also broke their club record to re-sign Romelu Lukaku and it looks like the spending spree will continue.
According to a new report by Football Insider, Chelsea and Manchester United are ready to battle it out for the signature of Pape Matar Sarr before the summer transfer window.
Sarr has caught the attention on both clubs with his performance at Metz.
Valued at around £28 million, Sarr who is a defensive midfielder has been able to prove his worth with Metz.
Though there are claims that Real Madrid are also interested in signing the youngster but Chelsea and Manchester United remain the favourite.
Manchester United are on the look for a long-term successor for Nemanja Matic while Chelsea are preparing to move on from the era of Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Ross Barkley.
