Pochetino wants Chelsea to make move for this £80million Real Madrid midfielder
Chelsea’s new manager, Mauricio Pochettino is keen on adding a new midfielder to his side as a recent report revealed he has told the club his preferred player.
Pochettino is said to be keen on the Blues making a move for €80million rated Real Madrid midfielder, Federico Valverde.
The El Nacional reported that Pochettino is eager to sign Valverde he looks to bolster his midfield this summer aspecailly as the likes of N’Golo Kante and Mateo Kovacic will be leaving Stamford Bridge this summer.
Chelsea will have to submit a bid of £70-80 million to persuade Real Madrid to accept a deal for Valverde to leave.
The Uruguay star impressed during the 2022/23 season, scoring 12 goals and creating seven assists in 56 matches across competitions for Real Madrid.
Further report claim that the Blu have reportedly already contacted Valverde’s camp to make their interest known and they have also assured the Uruguayan he would be a regular starter for Pochettino’s men.
