Former Chelsea assistant manager, Jody Morris, has revealed one player who is underappreciated at Stamford Bridge.

Morris, in his statement, mentioned that Chelsea star and England international Mason Mount is not adequately appreciated at Stamford Bridge.

The use former assistant manager who worked former coach Frank Lampard made this known ahead of Chelsea’s clash with Man Utd in the Premier League.

Morris, during his stay at Chelsea, helped oversee the improvement of many of Chelsea’s youngsters like Reece James, Calum Hudson-Odoi, Trevor Chalobah and Mason Mount, who are playing a key role in Thomas Tuchel’s squad this season.

“It helped ‘Mase’ having a good mum and dad, who committed to not only him being a good player but being a good kid,” Morris told The Times.

Mason was always hungry. He’s a thinking player. When you give him something tactically, you would never have to repeat it with him. It’s why all the managers love having him in the team.

“I don’t think Mase is properly appreciated. With people that understand football, he’s properly appreciated, but I do read nonsense about him.

“He’s never been 100 percent brilliant in every game, but he knows it and works on it.

“I remember having meetings with him after he hadn’t played great and he would tell me what he had not done right. I would say, ‘So what are you going to do about it?’ He knew. ‘I have watched it back already,’ he would say.”
