Manchester United, Chelsea in battle to sign Roma defender

Manchester United and Chelsea are both supposedly keen on signing Roma defender Gianluca Mancini.

The Italy international just joined Roma on a permanent deal from Atalanta BC the previous summer and has been in amazing form during the 2020-21 season, scoring multiple times in 27 appearances.

Regardless of just arriving last September, Roma are supposed to be available to the possibility of a sale in the impending market because of the financial issues brought about by the Covid episode.

As per report, both Man United and Chelsea have been made aware of the circumstance, with Paulo Fonseca’s side accepted to be prepared to consider offers in the area of £27m.

The report asserts that Everton were enthused about Mancini during his time with Atalanta, but two of the greatest clubs in English football are currently battling to sign him.

The 24-year-old has played all games but three of Roma’s 26 Serie A matches this season.
