Man Utd forward linked to Saudi Arabia
With the recent report dismissed his link to Serie A side AS Roma, Man Utd forward Mason Greenwood could be set to join former Liverpool Steven Gerrard’s Al-Ettifa as the Saudi Arabia club is weighing up an offer for him.
Recall that the Red Devils issued a statement on Monday that Greenwood is set to leave Old Trafford following the conclusion of an internal investigation into his conduct after attempted rape charges against him were dropped in February.
The young striker is now looking for a new club and could get a fresh start by Al-Ettifaq, as reported by The Sun.
Al-Ettifaq, who have won their first two league matches this season, are considering making an offer of £10m-a-year contract for Greenwood.
Should the deal become a reality, it would be a significant increase on his current Man United deal which sees him earn £75,000-a-week, equating to approximately £4m-per-year.
